My
Story

Who Am I?

My name is Marie - am a mother, a scientist, an entrepreneur.

My journey has been shaped by successes and failures. I recently stepped away from a venture that once held my dreams - a decision that meant letting go not just of a role, but of an identity. It was painful, but through rebuilding, I’ve found strength in resilience, compassion, and clarity.

I am determined to continuing my entrepreneurial path while expanding into consultancy - and supporting others who, like me, are driven to advance knowledge, spark innovation, and make a meaningful impact in global health.

This blog reflects my belief that challenges shape us and guide us where we’re meant to go. It’s a space for vulnerability, connection, and shared experience. I’ll share my story here - and invite you to share yours, even if privately. You’re not alone.

Starting Again at 48

At 48, I never thought I’d be starting over.
Not rebranding, not pivoting - starting again.

There’s a particular kind of silence that comes when life dismantles itself around you.

The career you built with care begins to wobble.
The relationships that once anchored you start to drift.
And the person you thought you were begins to fade into the version you’re becoming, the one you didn’t plan for.

It’s disorienting. It’s humbling. It’s also - strangely - cleansing.

Starting again at this age isn’t about reinvention in the glossy, motivational sense.
It’s about reclamation - of your energy, your boundaries, your worth, your peace.
It’s looking at what remains when everything unnecessary has fallen away, and realising: that’s enough to begin with.

I’m not starting from zero.
I’m starting from experience.
From every scar, every late night, every lesson learned the hardest way.
I’m starting from the deep knowing that survival is already proof of strength.

This time, I’m not chasing validation.

I’m building something gentler - a life that fits the person I’ve become.
A life where rest is not a reward but a rhythm.
Where ambition doesn’t erase tenderness.
Where I no longer apologise for needing peace.

If you’re standing at your own edge - whatever your age - know this:
You are not behind.
You are simply beginning again, with your eyes open.

And that, truly, is its own kind of brilliance.
